Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) — U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said he will travel to Guantanamo Bay Navy base in Cuba to advance President Barack Obama’s plan to close the prison camp for suspected terrorists.
Holder, speaking to reporters today at the Justice Department in Washington, said his Feb. 23 trip will give him a first-hand look at conditions at the prison that holds about 250 detainees.
